A small announcement, and a question.

Small news! We have proper mailing list now. You can join it by either clicking on the shiny new subscribe link up there on the right, or heading to this page.

There’s something we’d like to know, too. Do you fancy a game developer’s picnic around the time of Develop? Because we might organise one. It probably won’t be dangerous. Let us know over here.

Thank you! Photos!

A massive thank you to everyone who came last Friday. It was a brilliant, though somewhat chaotic day, and nearly everyone seems to have had a good time. With a completely new format, Bit of Alright was a grand and risky experiment, so we’re very glad people had fun and learned stuff. We will definitely do this again. Nonetheless, there are things we’ll do differently. We promise:

1. Never again will we schedule mass recorder playing first thing.
2. To always make sure venues have *some* form of heating in future.

There are a few photos from the day below, with many more to come soon. First though, I’d like to thank our sponsors: IndieCity, Skillsearch, Introversion and Sheridans.

I’d also like to thank all of the tireless volunteers: Jo Summers, Ross Fowkes, Andrew Thorpe, Siri HommelsgĂ„rd, Minkette, Emma Peddie, Craig Brennan, Cathleen Guiney, and Matthew Parks. They welcomed you in, made you tea, taught you games, kept things running when I couldn’t be in two places at once, and generally stopped everything from ploughing off a cliff.

Photography was by the excellent Natalie Seery; here are a few higlights, and more will go up soon:
